Making Healthy Snacks for Your Super Bowl Party
January 28th, 2010Weight Watchers has a recent article up about eating healthy at the Super Bowl and I was really excited about some of the recipes they propose.
The Layered Mexican Bean Dip I made a couple years ago for the Super Bowl and it is extremely good and goes really quick. It makes 16 servings and each serving is worth 2 points so it’s not a good idea to eat this all by yourself in one sitting
I’m also a big fan of making Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas. The recipe Weight Watchers has for this makes 4 servings with 7 points per serving. Also, I am a big fan of using my slow cooker whenever I can and that usually means making a lot of soups; chili is extremely popular at Super Bowl parties and you can make this Hearty Turkey Chili which serves 6 and is 4 points per serving.
I’m thinking about hosting my own Super Bowl party this year and am thinking about making each of these items for it. The thing about the Super Bowl is I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up pigging out that day, so I’m hoping to keep my 35 weekly points saved up that week for such an occasion!

I love my slow cooker! I have a bunch of healthy slow cooker recipes that I post on my blog if you’re interested. They can be great for parties.
Thanks Kathy! I’ll definitely be checking that out.
Looking forward to see some diet recipes. Thanks!
