I had my first Weight Watchers meeting and weigh in today and I’m feeling pretty psyched about this plan right now. The weekly meeting and weigh in I think is definitely going to keep me going on track.

The weigh in I had today was at 296.6 pounds (TERRIBLE) – my 5% target goal will be losing 15 pounds and my 10% target goal will be losing 29 pounds. I’m hoping to hit the 10% mark by week 10. I haven’t set my overall goal yet and am still undecided on it – my original goal was to hit 180, but the healthy weight they recommend is a about 160 for my height – I think I’d be more than happy losing 100 pounds though.

I found out right now I can eat up to 41 points per day and each week I have an additional 35 points per week I can spend if I splurge one day. Kind of nice. I’m finding myself not using up nearly that many points though when I started this plan so that’s a relief that I can relax a bit more and explains nights like tonight where I ate dinner and was still hungry afterwards.

Yesterday I only used up 25 points of my allotted 41. Today I used 29.5 of my 41.

Today for breakfast I had an Oatmeal to go bar (3 points), 6 oz cup of light yogurt (2 points) – for lunch we went to KFC and I had grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy and a biscuit (11 points) – for dinner I had some steamed vegetables with 4 oz of chicken breast and some light yogurt (6.5 points). I had a 1 oz box of raisins and microwave popcorn for snacks today (7 points total). I definitely plan on adding some more to this plan in the fruits and vegetables area (maybe add a banana in the morning) and I definitely need to start drinking more water still.

As for the meeting today I did learn that the Wii is definitely considered activity that we can use – and we’re supposed to do about 10 minutes of activity each day with this plan (I plan on doing 30 minutes per day). Nice thing is I actually now have a chart that I can use when I play with the Wii that will give me points back that I can use that day.

Well, I think that does it for today, definitely looking to get off to a good start on this new plan and excited about my weight in next week.
